Michael F. Shaughnessy is currently Professor in the School of Education at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. He has been a social studies teacher, a coach, a guidance counselor and school psychologist. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York and master’s degrees in Counseling and Guidance and School Psychology from Bank Street College of Education and the College of New Rochelle, respectively. He did his doctoral work under the late John Glover and has done additional work at the George Washington University and Texas Tech University in Lubbock Texas. He has edited, co-edited, authored or co-authored more than 40 books.
He currently serves as Editor in Chief of Gifted Education International and serves on many editorial boards of major journals. He continues to present at major international conferences.
