Dr. Ritsner has over 40 years of experience in clinical psychiatry, education, and research. He develops the Distress/Protection Vulnerability Model of quality of life deficit syndrome, and made significant contributions to genetic epidemiology, molecular genetics, and cognitive impairments in severe mental disorders, and to searching novel agents with neuroprotective properties. Dr. Ritsner has lectured widely in national and international scientific forums. His has published extensively, papers, reviews, chapters, and edited a series of 14 volumes, that addresses the challenges facing clinical and biological psychiatry.
