Md. Faruque Hossain, PhD in Soil, Water and Environmental Sciences, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London, UK. Professor, American International University-Bangladesh. Prior this, he was a Cropping Systems Scientist, CIMMYT; Environmental Program Coordinator, Health Canada; Soil, Water and Environmental Scientist, Natural Resources Canada; Soil Scientist, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada; Visiting Research Fellow, Natural Resources Canada; Research Fellow, Rothamsted Research, UK. He has more than thirty years of teaching, research and project management experience in environmental and agricultural development in soil, water and plant biomass eco-systems. Dr. Hossain received prestigious STEM Gold Medallion by Coppin State University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA; Sher-E-Bangla Shining Personality Award 2017 for significant contribution in higher education of Bangladesh. He also received Best Researcher Award 2019 in Environment Science by World Research Council. Dr. Hossain published more than 85 scientific articles and written more than 15 books/reports for the various governmental and non-governmental organizations.
