Maurice Mullard is presently the Professor and Economic Advisor to the Government of Malta. He works at the ministry of Finance, setting up the comprehensive spending review in Malta. He is also the reader Emeritus at the University of Hull. Professor Mullard has written on economic policy making, on social policy, on public spending, on changing political contexts, on globalization on citizenship and democracy and his most recent book dealt with the recession and the economic meltdown of 2008.
