Matej Rojc

Matej Rojc received his Ph.D. degree in Electronics from the University of Maribor in Slovenia. He is currently Associate Professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (University of Maribor) in Slovenia. He was guest researcher in ENST Paris and UPC Barcelona, and involved in several projects with SIEMENS A.G. in München, regarding developing text-to-speech synthesis systems. He was engaged in COST2102 project, regarding cross-modal analysis of verbal and non-verbal communication. He is also co-editor of the book Coverbal Synchrony in Human-Machine Interaction. His research interests include text-to-speech synthesis, automatic speech recognition, nonverbal speech processing, prosodic information modeling, finite-state machines, and machine learning algorithms, embodied conversational agents, behavior modeling, co-verbal synchrony, and advanced multimodal interfaces.
