Dr. Marilyn Ong Li Yin is Lecturer in the Exercise and Sports Science Programme, School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. She obtained her Bachelor of Sports Science degree majoring in Exercise Physiology from Universiti Malaya in 2003, Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from Loughborough University, U.K. in 2004 and Doctor of Philosophy in Health Science from The University of Sydney, Australia in 2015. Prior to her academic career, she worked as an Exercise Physiologist at the National Sports Institute of Malaysia. Her current research interests include exercise heat stress, physiological testing, recovery monitoring and nutritional and exercise intervention on gastrointestinal responses.
