María E. Cayré, Ph.D. in Food Science & Technology (Universidad Nacional del Chaco Austral, UNCAUS. Argentina) and Agroindustrial Engineer (Universidad Nacional del Nordeste, Argentina). She is a researcher and professor at Austral Chaco University (UNCAUS, Argentina). She is an expert in food microbiology and applied statistics. She has experience in microbial growth optimization, with a special focus on bacteria for starter cultures and biopreservation of cooked meat products. She has also participated in science communication programs and has made contributions to the industrial sector. In the last three decades, she has published peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and has actively participated in international conferences.
