Born in Spain in 1978, graduated in Biological Sciences with a specialty in plant physiopathology and phytotechnology in 2001 and a master's degree in Molecular Biology of fungi in 2004 by the University of Salamanca, PhD in Biotechnology at the Metropolitan Autonomous University (2010) in the Iztapalapa Unit (Mexico), member of The National System of Researchers (SNI) since 2011. Dedicated to several lines of research in microbial ecology, physiology of methylotrophic yeast growth on inert solid supports, metagenomics of microbial communities in contaminated environments and resistance to antibiotics, particularly in bacterial adaptation mechanisms inherently nonspecific, mainly proteins involved in cellular efflux pumps as well as in regulatory elements of its expression.
