Manishree Mondal is at present the Associate Professor, Post Graduate Department of Geography, Midnapore College (Autonomous), West Bengal, India from 2001 after serving as Research Fellow for 4 years in the University of Burdwan. Her areas of research interests are geographical thought, environmental issues, society and culture, indigenous people and tourism. She published 41 fundamental research papers, 5 edited books, 01 text book (Social Geography) and reviewed many research papers in reputed Scopus journals.
