Dr. Mala Kapur Shankardass is a nationally and internationally known sociologist, gerontologist, and health social scientist. She is a university teacher, researcher, writer and activist. She has 4 books on ageing to her credit as the author and editor. She also publishes articles, book reviews in scientific journals, newspapers, magazines and books and has a few monographs. She has chaired sessions and delivered keynote addresses at various conferences around the world. She is an editorial board member of a few international and national journals.
