Dr. Wahajuddin serves as Principal Scientist and Associate professor (AcSIR) at Pharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics Division, CSIR- Central Drug Research Institute Lucknow, where for around 15 years he has been studying pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics of potential candidate molecules of CSIR-CDRI drug R&D pipeline (in addition to marketed drugs/metabolites/natural products) and deciphering the molecular mechanism(s) of ADME/disposition thereof. He is also a registered patent agent with the Indian patent office in New Delhi. Also, he works as course coordinator (pharmaceutics) at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (Raebareli, India), which is a postgraduate institute of national importance of the government of India. He also worked as visiting scientist at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, USA in 2013-14 and Humboldt Research Fellow at University of Cologne Hospital’s Centre for Pharmacology, Cologne, Germany in 2018-19.
