Dr. Dhanya M.K presently works as Assistant Professor Plant Pathology in Cardamom Research Station, Kerala Agricultural University. She has performed research on crop protection aspects of spices. She identified three pathogenic fungi in small cardamom. She also carried out various projects under State Plan, All India Coordinated Research Project on Spices (AICRPS), State Horticulture Mission (SHM), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Planning Board and Rallies India. She has over 40 research papers published in acclaimed journals.
