Dr. Liang Xiao received his Ph.D in Military Preventive Medicine from Second Military Medical University (P. R. China) in 2015, under the mentorship of the Professor Liming Zhang at Naval Medical University – P. R. China and the joint Professor Héctor H. Valdivia at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor – USA. In 2016, Dr. Liang was promoted to associate professor, which is his current position, working on teaching and scientific research in the field of naval environmental health. He mainly focuses on jellyfish species collection and identification, prevention and treatment of jellyfish envenomation. Until now, he has presided over 20 national, ministry (provincial) and international projects including the International Science and Technology Cooperation Programme of Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the general program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. A total of over 30 scientific papers have been published on jellyfish envenomation and therapy.
