Professor Liang-Bi Wang received a B.S. from Lanzhou Jiaotong University in 1985, an M.S. from Taiyuan University of Technology in 1988, and a Ph.D. from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1996. He joined Lanzhou Jiaotong University in 1988 as an assistant lecturer, and then lecturer, associate professor, and professor. From 2000 to 2002 he worked as a visiting scholar at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology of Japan. His research field is thermal science and engineering, with special focus on convective heat transfer and its enhancement. He has long worked on using secondary flow and vorticity to enhance convective heat transfer. He has received many rewards from the local and national government of China.
