Dr. McCully is internationally recognized for discovering the connection between homocysteine and heart disease — a major scientific breakthrough of the 20th century – and further development of the homocysteine theory of arteriosclerosis. He is the author of 3 books and numerous scientific articles concerning the homocysteine theory, which have received much media attention. A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, Dr. McCully currently serves as Medical Director of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Consolidated Laboratories of the VA New England Healthcare System and Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School.
