Kholmirzo T. Kholmurodov graduated with honors from the Tajik State University in 1981. He fulfilled his graduate diploma project at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Moscow region, Russia. From JINR, he received his PhD (its russian equivalent called Candidate) degree in 1988 and Doctor's (actually, the second doctoral) degree in 1997 - both in Physical and Mathematical Sciences. Since 2003, he has been holding the position of the Head of the Computer Molecular Modeling Sector at the Laboratory of Radiation Biology, and from 2014, a Leading Scientist of the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics, JINR. He was a visiting professor at Nagoya University (1997-1998), worked at RIKEN (The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research, Japan, 1998-2003); and was a member of the Japanese Physical Society (2000-2003) and Computation Collaborative Project 5 (the United Kingdom), Visiting Professor of Keio, Waseda, Kyoto and Nagoya Universities of Japan, etc..

Kholmirzo T. Kholmurodov, PhD, Sci. Dr., Professor, currently is a Leading Scientist at Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Moscow region, Russian Federation. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the research, discovery and education development in the field of molecular modeling for the physics, biochemistry and nanotechnologies. Previously, Prof. Kholmurodov served as the Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Information Technologies and the Head of Computer Molecular Modeling Sector of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. During his career at LIT JINR, Prof. Kholmurodov holds two scientific degrees, Candidate of Sciences (which is a PhD analog) and Doctor of Science - both in Physical- Mathematical sciences. As a Head of a Computer Molecular Modeling Dr. Kholmurodov In a close collaboration with several advanced research centers and universities of Japan (Keio University in Yokohama, Waseda University in Tokyo, Kyoto and Nagoya Universities, RIKEN-Saitama and RIKEN-Kobe-Osaka prefectures) actually established a new branch of science - molecular simulation studies of complex physical, chemical and biological systems - within the traditionally nuclear institute as JINR-DUBNA. Notably, Dr. Kholmurodov has authored more than 120 manuscripts, and edited several books of Japan-Russia International Workshops MSSMBS “Molecular Simulation Studies in the Material and Biological Sciences” as Organizing Chair. Dr. Kholmurodov is also a faculty member at Dubna State University as professor of the Departments of the “Chemistry, and technologies and materials” and “Nanotechnologies and new materials”, where he teaches "Computer Design - Molecular Modeling for new materials and drugs", a class focused on the modern physics, biochemistry and nanbiotechnologies.
