Dr Kaushal Kishore Choudhary is presently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Botany, Dr Jagannath Mishra College, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India. He obtained his Ph. D. degree in 2000 from B. R. Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India for his work on prospects of immobilization of heterocystous cyaobacteria in Ca-alginate for long term preservation. He has more than 15 years of research experience on various aspects of cyanobacteria at different institutions such as Indian Agricultural research Institute, New Delhi, Arunachal University (now Rajiv Gandhi University), Itanagar, India, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India and TERI, New Delhi.. His focussed research is on ecology of cyanobacterial and their physiological and biochemical characterization. He has studied the nitrogen fixation potential of cyanobacteria from various habitats such as rice fields, subalpine and desert region of India. He has also worked on cyanophages in aquatic environments He has poublished 23 papers in national and international journals.. He is the recipient of Summer Research Fellowship by Indian Academy of Sciences, India.
