Kartik Roy spent much of his academic life at the University of Queensland in Australia where, as an Economics Professor, he delivered lectures to thousands of students in Economic Theories; Development Economics and in International Economics. Much of his research works can be placed within the realm of Institutional Economics. His total research output includes 36 books (authored and edited); 45 papers in international journals, as well as, about 100 chapters in edited books. He also manages and is chairman for a research intensive institute called The International Institute for Development Studies (IIDS).
