József Poór

Szent István University, Gödöllő, Hungary.

He is a Professor of Management in the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Szent István University Hungary, where he teaches a variety of management courses. He earned his Ph.D. from the HungarianAcademy of Sciences Budapest. He served as guest professor at five different US universities (PAMI-Honolulu, Bellermine-Louisville, EKU-Richmond, Saginaw-Michigan,CSU-Cleveland) and taught thirteen summer semesters between. He has broad knowledge in HR issues in Central and Eastern European region. He has been Professor of Management in Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia as well. He was senior manager (Managing Director, Country Manager and senior consultant) at different internationally recognized professional service firms (Mercer, HayGroup, Diebold) and at a private business school (International Management Center, Budapest).His scholarly publications have appeared in more than ten internationally referred journals. He wrote twenty seven books and book-chapters in Hungarian, one book (Walter-Kluwer-Complex) and five book-chapters published by remarkable publishing houses (Addison-Wisley, Chapman&Hall, Kogan Page, Prentice Hall and Routledge).
