Main research topics focused during the development of the Dissertation and Thesis consisted on the implementation of analytical methods for characterizing the presence of dissolved Rn-222 and Po-210 in waters and Po-210 in bottom sediments of drainage channels. The techniques developed have been successfully applied to different geological contexts in Brazil. Other instrumentation activities have been also held at UNIR, most of them aiming the Physics teaching. Author of papers published in Environmental Geology and Journal of Hydrology, among other periodicals.
