Jeanette Hoenig: Dr. Hoenig completed her Pediatrics and Neonatology medical training at the University of Chicago. During her time there, she developed and primarily authored a Neonatology handbook called “Pocket NICU” which served as a foundation for the “Essential Guide to Clinical Neonatology.” Her research and scientific publications focus on necrotizing enterocolitis, intestinal bacterial colonization and probiotics. In her current role as a clinical neonatologist, she attends in the Neonatal Units of 6 hospitals in the Chicago area and she works to develop standards of neonatal care across hospital systems, specifically focusing on neonatal nutrition.
