Jean Leyendekkers was awarded the higher doctorate, Doctor of Science (DSc), degree by the University of Sydney for her research on Solution Theory. Since retiring from the Faculty of Science there, Jean has written papers on Number Theory with Janet Rybak and Tony Shannon. Jean has also been very active for more than thirty years in community work where she lives on urban planning, and in particular on the regeneration of bushland. Jean enjoys classical music, mysteries and loves cats, dogs, possums and all other animals and birds.
