Gordon, Ph.D., LL.D, Professor Emeritus, University of Kansas, has devoted over 50 years to research, teaching, and public service in African Studies and the Black experience in the Diaspora. He served as the Nkrumah Endowed Chair in Africa Studies at the University of Ghana. He is author of over 21 books and numerous other publications.
