Jack S. Cohen was born in London, United Kingdom. He earned his Doctorate in Chemistry at Cambridge University and has completed post-doctorate studies at the Weizmann Institute of Science and Harvard Medical School. Following his studies, he worked at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and served as a Professor of Pharmacology at Georgetown Medical School in Washington, D.C. In 1996, Jack moved to Israel, where he served as Chief Scientist at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer. He later became later a visiting professor of pharmacology at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Currently, he is a Visiting Professor of Chemistry at Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheva. He has published over 200 scientific papers and articles.
