Dr. Isabelle Piot-Lepetit is a Senior Research Scientist in the Economics and Management division of the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) in Montpellier, France. She holds an accreditation to supervise research in Economics. She has over 20 years of experience in research, project management involving international and multidisciplinary teams, and consulting for the European Commission, OECD, and FAO as well as for private and non-profit organizations.
Dr. Isabelle Piot-Lepetit is an applied microeconomist with a specialization in modelling and frontier methods, especially Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). She also has competencies in strategic and organizational management. She holds an experience in analyzing the impact of regulation changes, organizational structures, and strategic management on the durability and sustainability of firms, sectors, or areas of production. She has undertaken microeconomic studies dealing with efficiency and productivity measurement and performance benchmarking of organizations. She has published in academic journals such as Annals of Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Journal, Food Policy, Journal of the Operational Research Society, or Journal of Small Business Management. While working for the European Commission, she was the editor of a book on “Methods to analyse agricultural commodity price volatility” published by Springer in 2011.
