Ima Mulyama Zainuddin, PhD

Ima M. Zainuddin is a researcher at the Research Center for Genetic Engineering, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in Indonesia. Since 2021, she has been involved in the Cassava Project, supported by FOSC (ERA-Net on Food Systems and Climate) at the Tropical Crop Improvement Laboratory at KU Leuven, Belgium. Prior to BRIN, Ima was a lecturer in the agricultural engineering study program at the School of Life Sciences and Technology, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, from 2018 to 2021.

She has consistently worked in cassava since she interned at the Cassava Research Group at ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 2009. She earned her doctorate degree from the same group at ETH Zurich in 2016. She has been actively involved in the Indonesian Cassava Society (ICS) as a general secretary from 2017 to 2021, and she is presently an expert board member. She has authored and reviewed several research articles and books on cassava, contributing to cassava research internationally.
