Prof. Hong Guan is an expert in structural engineering and computational mechanics research with special interest in finite element modelling, failure and progressive collapse analysis of concrete and timber structures, bridge deterioration modelling, application of finite element method in dental implant research and structural topology optimization. She is Executive Committee Member of the Australian Network of Structural Health Monitoring.
