Hervé Alexandre is a Professor in Microbiology and Enology at the Institut de la Vigne et du Vin Jules Guyot, Université de Bourgogne (Jules Guyot Institute of Vine and Wine, University of Burgundy). He teaches courses in winemaking and wine microbiology. He is an author and co-author of more than 200 articles. He is supervising a research team of 25 scientists in the AFIM laboratory. He is also the manager of a small wine estate belonging to the University, where he is in charge of the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and sparkling winemaking.
