Herman David Froning

Herman David Froning Jr. worked at the leading-edge of aeronautical and spaceflight science and technology for over 50 years. He performed research and development work for the U.S. Air Force, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, and his own Company, Flight Unlimited. His pioneering work include design of the configuration concepts of the United States first anti-ballistic missiles and he was among the first to explore use of zero-point fluctuation energies of space for space power and propulsion. He is a Past Fellow of the British Interplanetary Society; Associate Fellow of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics; and Past Member of the International Academy of Astronautics. He has served on various technical panels and was a Founding Participant in the NASA “Breakthrough Propulsion Physics” Program.
