Hasan Aydın is currently Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Yeditepe University. He was born in Istanbul, Turkey. After he graduated from the medical faculty at Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1996, internal medicine (2001) and endocrinology (2005) he practiced at the same university. Then, he started his academic career at Yeditepe University School of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey in 2006 and still works there as a professor and head of the department of endocrinology and metabolism. Prof. Hasan Aydin works on treatment of type 2 diabetes, early diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus and treatment of obesity. He published more than 50 national and international articles, 8 chapters in different international books and more than 200 presentations on different congresses and was awarded for his studies many times. He is on the advisory board of Diabetic Therapy and is a member of the Society of Turkish Endocrinology and Metabolism and the European Society of Endocrinology.
