Hafiza Khatun, PhD is Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Geography and Environment, University of Dhaka. She authored several books and numerous articles in national and international journals. Dr. Khatun is the President of the Bangladesh Resettlement Network (BRN), a professional body of social/resettlement and environmental specialists in Bangladesh.
