Guillermo Cristian Guadalupe Martínez-Ávila is a full-time professor at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, previously serving as Deputy Director of Liaison and Social Service (2016-2022). He holds a M.Sc. and PhD in Food Science and Technology from the Autonomous University of Coahuila. His research focuses on secondary metabolite extraction and functional food development. He has conducted research at University College Cork and Universidade de Fortaleza. Dr. Martínez-Ávila has published over 55 scientific articles and 15 book chapters, edited three books, and has participated in over 40 thesis committees. He is a CONAHCYT-Mexico Level II Researcher.
