Dr. Gitashree Darabdhara presently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Suren Das College, Kamrup, Assam. She completed her PhD research work from the Advanced Materials Group, Materials Sciences and Technology Division, CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat, India in the year 2019 in the topic “Reduced Graphene Oxide Sheets Decorated with Bimetallic Nanoparticles: Synthesis, Characterization and their Applications”. Her thesis was conferred the Best Thesis in Chemical Sciences for the year 2019 by the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), India. She has published a total of 21 research articles in high impact international peer-reviewed journals and has 4 book chapters to her credit. Presently she serves as the reviewer for several journals published by Elsevier and ACS. Her current research area involves development of 0D and 2D nanomaterials and their application in the field of photocatalysis and development of biosensors for environment remediation.
