Ganga Gokulakrishnan is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She also serves as the Associate Medical Director for the Level 4 Neonatal ICU at Texas Children’s Hospital and is an attending neonatologist at Ben Taub General Hospital. She completed her medical school training and pediatric training at Madurai Medical College in India. Subsequently, she moved to Houston where she completed her residency training in pediatrics at University of Texas - Houston Health Science Center in 2007 and her fellowship training in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in 2010. Since 2010, she has been serving as faculty at Baylor College of Medicine and is board certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. She completed further training and received a Master’s in Science in Clinical Research and Investigation at Baylor College of Medicine in 2016. Over the years, she has served as a contributor and section editor to the Neonatology Division’s evidence-based guidelines, ‘Guidelines for the Acute Care of the Neonate.’ She has received several awards for her excellent clinical and teaching skills, including the Norton Rose Fulbright Faculty Excellence Award in Teaching and Evaluation in 2019 and the Star Faculty Award for Excellence in Patient Care in 2020. She is a member of the Evidence Academy at Texas Children’s Hospital whose overarching goal is to form a multidisciplinary community of experts to help disseminate high quality EBM education. As a member, she has been a facilitator and instructor for various EBM workshops geared towards faculty and trainees within the institution.
