Francesco Maria Chelli is Full Professor of Economic Statistics at the Polytechnic University of Marche. He is Director of the Department for Statistical Production at ISTAT (Italian National Institute of Statistics). He is past Head of the School of Economics “Giorgio Fuà”, Marche Polytechnic University and Past Chairman of the Italian Society of Economics, Demography, and Statistics (SIEDS). Main research interests lie in Urban Sprawl; Pattern of Urban Growth; Urbanization; Indicator of Well-Being; Composite Indicators; BES; Lorenz Curve; Gini; Inequality Indices.
