FHS-Dr Flavia Santos is an awardee of the prestigious Ad Astra Fellowship (2019-2024) at the University College Dublin and Assistant Professor since 2018. She completed a PhD in Science at Federal University of São Paulo, with an exchange at Durham University, UK. She also obtained research Fellowships awarded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, Portugal and Fundación Séneca, Spain. She is co-editor along with Vee Prasher and Philip Davidson of the Book: Mental Health, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Ageing Process (Springer, 2021). Dr Santos is a member of the ACRM Neurodegenerative Diseases Networking Group and the ACRM Geriatric Rehabilitation Networking Group. She also serves as Executive Member of the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at the Comparative Policy and Practice “Special Interest Research Group.” Dr Santos won the Prize “Special Tribute for Best Practices in Education and Health,” the award given by the European Commission Erasmus + at the VI International Brain Connection Congress (2020).
