Farahnaz K. Behbahani was born in Behbahan, Iran, in 1971. She received her B. Sc. degree in Pure Chemistry in 1995 and subsequently, received her M.Sc. degree in the Organic Chemistry in 1997 from the Rarzi University, Kermanshah, Iran. She carried out his graduate research with Professor Majid M. Heravi at Alzahra University, Tehran, Iran where he received in 2007 the Ph. D. Currently, she is associate professor of organic chemistry at the Karaj branch, Islamic azad university, Iran. Her research interests focus in novel organocatalysts and ionic liquids in synthesis, and heterocyclic chemistry, as well as the development of new methodologies to multicomponent reactions and green chemistry.
