Fabio Botelho has a Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Virginia Tech-USA (2009).
He got also an undergraduate and masters degree in Aeronautics Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics, ITA – Brazil (1992 and 1996, respectively).
At present, he is an adjunct Professor at the Mathematics Department of Federal University of Santa Catarina, UFSC - Brazil.
His research field comprises functional analysis, calculus of variations, convex analysis and duality applied to problems in physics and engineering.
