Erick Baqueiro got a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Fisheries Oceanography at the National Autonomous University of Mexico UNAM, and a Doctoral degree on Marine Science at CINVESTAV. He worked for 28 years as head scientist for bivalve and gastropod research project at the National Fisheries institute. He has publishes over 60 scientific papers on fisheries biology and reproductive biology of mollusks. He collaborates with research teams at CINVESTAV, Merida, ICML UNAM, in Mexico, the Universities Arturo Prat, Andres Bello and Los Lagos from Chile and has collaborated with the fisheries institutes of Colombia, and Chile.
