Elena Salvaterra is a Jurist Doctor (1999) with a PhD in Bioethics (2004). She worked in several public and private academic and non-academic Institutions in Italy as researcher in Bioethics and regulatory consultant. She also collaborated with several European and non-European institutions in the field of Bioethics. Whereas her research areas involve clinical Bioethics, Neuroethics, Robotics and Computer Science Ethics, her research focus on ethical, legal and social issues- ELSI of human and non-human biobanks. Principal investigator and collaborator of several research projects on biobanks, she is author of publications on ethical and regulatory aspects of therapeutic and research biobanks and participated in several conferences on bioresources either on national and international level.
