Assistant Professor Duantida Songdej, MD, DPhil(Oxon), received her fellowships in pediatric hematology and oncology from Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. She subsequently joined Douglas Higgs laboratory at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford, UK, to focus her D.Phil. research on Thalassemia. Upon her return to Thailand, she became one of the national leading physicians taking care of children with all types of red blood cell disorders.
