Dimitra Kitsiou is Assistant Professor of Geo-informatics in the Department of Marine Sciences, University of the Aegean (Greece). She studied Physics and her research focuses mainly on the application of modern tools for assessing physico-chemical processes in coastal zone and sea water quality at different spatio-temporal scales, coastal management and marine spatial planning.
