Besides teaching computer science, information theory, and physics, Grable has worked for the U.S. Navy, NASA as a contractor, and the U.S. Army, as an engineer and researcher in radar and communication systems, computer architecture, and software engineering. He resides with his wife Harriet in Huntsville Alabama, USA.
