Dr. Deidré van Rooyen works as a senior researcher for the Centre for Development Support at the University of the Free State (www.ufs.ac.za/cds). She completed her Master’s degree in Gender studies and her PhD in Development Studies. Her specialisation fields of research are Social Entrepreneurship (SE) and Local Economic Development (LED) in small towns.
