David C. Mello received a M.A. degree in Mathematics from Rhode Island College, and both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Mathematics from Brown University. He is currently Professor of Mathematics at Johnson & Wales University, and has taught college-level mathematics and physics courses for nearly 30 years. He is a member of several professional organizations and his interests include the geometry of physics, and hydrodynamic stability.
