David A. Kault, PhD has worked as a medical doctor and as a mathematician focused on epidemiological modelling and statistics and is now semi-retired. He has long been fascinated by the Galois story and believed the proof of the insolubility of the quintic should be rewritten to make it accessible to a much wider audience. Graeme Sneddon and David’s son, Sam, are mathematicians who have assisted in this quest for an accessible proof of the insolubility of the quintic without abstract algebra.
