Chloe Parkinson is a PhD student at the University of New England. Her thesis work considers the key discourses through which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge is communicated in Australian education documents, and also the ways in which these discourses are reflected in contextualized practices. She has performed casual lecturing work for Griffith University, and previously taught in Australian secondary schooling contexts located within and serving Aboriginal communities. She has also held roles coordinating professional experience placements for preservice teachers in schools, in a range of programs and courses. She has previously published on the implementation of Australian Curriculum in remote schools.
