Dr. Chaitanya Kumar Jha presently working as Assistant Professor in Microbiology Department Gujarat Arts and Science College, Ahmedabad-380006, Gujarat, India. He is in the academic field since 2014. Before he had worked as a faculty member in the Microbiology Department, Government Science College, Vankal, Surat, India and Department of Biotechnology, Government Science College, Ahmedabad. He has completed his M.Sc.Degreein2007 and PhD degree in 2011 in the subject of Microbiology from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Dr. Jha carries on research work of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) and their related aspects. During their PhD work he reported first time ACC deaminase production in the Bacteria Enterobacter cancerogenus MSA2. He has published 16research papers and review articles on Rhizobacteria and ACC deaminase till today. He regularly teaches Molecular Microbiology and General Microbiology to the Undergraduate and Post graduate students. He also teaches Biostatistics, bioinformatics and practical skills to the undergraduate and post graduate students. He has published one edited book with springer international entitled “Bacilli and Agrobiotechnology” as well as a authored book entitled “Biomolecules of Microorganisms” for Undergraduate students. He is at present the resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India with his wife, son and parents.
