Bruce A. Stevens

Professor Bruce A Stevens (MTh, Australian College of Theology; PhD, Boston University, 1987) is a clinical and forensic psychologist. He holds the Wicking Chair of Ageing and Practical Theology and is director of the Colloquium for Ageing Perspectives and Spirituality at Charles Sturt University, Canberra. Bruce was ordained in the Anglican Church in 1980 and served full time in parish ministry until 1993. He has written eight books, the most recent two on schema therapy with Dr Chiara DiFrancesco (USA) and Dr Eckhard Roediger (Germany), Schema Therapy for Couples: Healing Relationships, and with Dr Roediger Breaking Negative Relationship Patterns, both published by Wiley. Bruce has advanced accreditation as a schema therapist in both individual and couple therapy.
