Borut Poljsak works at the University of Ljubljana at the Faculty of Health Sciences since 2002, where he is currently Head of the Laboratory for Oxidative Stress Research and Head of the Chair of Environmental Health. He has a special interest in antioxidants and their potential impact on health and longevity, as well as developing methods for anti-aging and lifespan increase and methods to detect oxidative stress in the organism. His work with students includes lecturing in the fields of Preventive Medicine, Environmental Epidemiology, and Risk Assessment of Chemicals. In recent years, he has published several scientific papers and books in fields concerning antioxidants, free radicals, oxidative stress and anti-aging.
